A nation of sheep begets a government of wolves

Requiem for a dream

I had once dreamt that i could fly. It was pure levitation. It was exhilarating. But it was not possible, as it was just a dream. But for many, who held or kept dark secrets, they have experienced this. They take drugs that give them a morbid euphoric sense of happiness. Are they lacking happiness? Are their dreams inconceivable or even attainable that drug addicts sought to obtain temporal satisfaction? Maybe for many they would prefer to live in their dreams. Perhaps happiness in this little island has dwindled so much so it is better in a state of dreams.

Not reality.

But does taking drugs help? Never. Not even a milliounce of it. The more you give in, the more you die.

There is too much at risk. Your health, sanity, everything. Addicts are determined to lay their hands on every conceivable material to get high including codeine-based cough syrups, antipyschotic drugs and whatnot. This manic obsession stretched from the days of opium even during the ancient Roman times. Do we sit idly by and let the world wrought by the evils of drug-taking? What are we to do about this addiction? We should destroy every trace of every drug that destroys men and rehabilitate every man that traffic this evil. It should be in the top agenda of every government in this world and we must exterminate this together if we are to succeed.

The dangers of drugtaking can be seen in this excellent movie Requiem for a dream.
